Leeds United has started focusing on the transfer window after securing their Premier League status. The team is looking to strengthen their defense, and one potential target is Lutsharel Geertruida. Geertruida is currently on loan at Sunderland from RB Leipzig and has impressed in his 26 top-flight appearances. He has been praised for his versatility, able to play as a right-back, centre-back, or even in midfield.Geertruida's skills have drawn comparisons to the legendary Sergio Ramos, who is known for his ability to play multiple positions. The Dutchman has shown that he is just as comfortable playing at right-back, centre-back, or in midfield. He is also an attacking threat, capable of stopping strikers and tricking past opponents.

Several clubs, including Leeds, Aston Villa, Everton, and Crystal Palace, as well as teams from Italy, Germany, France, and Spain, are interested in signing Geertruida. However, Sunderland has declined a £20m offer to sign him permanently, putting several clubs on high alert.
